2BR Apt in the Heart of the City w/ Stunning View

Positive: Location was great, clear house rules, host was responsive when needed. Negative: The beds/mattress are awful - too hard in my opinion. Most of the lights don't work.

Positive: Very roomy apartment in a good position Negative: The checking in process was stressful. It was through a 3rd party called Hostaway which I didn't realise until the day before when i was sent a check-in form asking for a payment card. I thought it was a scam but eventually got to speak to a 'host' who explained I needed to be vetted by their finance department before check in information could be sent to me. 3 phone calls later and 90mins before the 3pm check-in time I was sent check-in information which involved picking the key from an Ezymart store. Although foreign to us my son tells me its not unusual. In future I will always make sure I have access to a reception when staying in city accomodation. The view is not of the Brisbane Storey Bridge as pictured in advert as there is another building in the way but rather of Kangaroo Pt which is still lovely. The mat in living room was stained and the lounge definitely smelled of other guests. All felt a bit jaded

Great apartment but needs to be better appointed Positive: Lovely location and views and the apartment was spacious Negative: The kitchen was lacking many basic items needed to prepare meals. There was not enough plates and bowls for the number of guests advertised and the crockery while cheap Kmart brand was old and chipped. Missing knives and forks. No kitchen knives at all. A pod machine and some serving platters would be nice. Towels for pool area would have also been nice.

The beds were like concrete, carpet grubby and bombarded with annoying alerts and emails from the host for the entire s Positive: The location Negative: The fact that I was not aware it was an Airbnb booking, I believed that I was booking through the oaks hotel as I have done so in the past, it was frustrating to find out that instead of dealing with the lovely staff of the oaks hotel I had to upload my personal details online and be sent a pass code and pick a key up from the quickymart on the corner. Felt very scammer alert… definitely will not be using booking.com anymore if this is how they are going to function. Have no problems with them up until now.

Positive: Location and accommodation was great. Right in the CBD with easy access to the centre. There was 5 of us and it was perfect for our needs. Will stay again.
