Serene 3-BR Inner-City Retreat on the City Fringe

Positive: The location was good. Negative: Paid almost $50 as admin fee on my credit card. When I asked why I was told it was because I nominated my credit card as the method of payment for the $500 security deposit (which is taken as an additional to the price of the accommodation). If I wanted to transfer $500 to an account, there would be no admin fee. Then I kept getting asked to supply credit card details again. When I asked why since I entered them into the system upon booking, I was told there "glitch" in the system which meant my credit card details were not stored. Another person told me it was because my credit card payment did not go through. I spent a lot of time speaking to different people whoseems to be based overseas, pointing out that they had my credit card details since I was charged an admin fee, and one of the consultants knew the end of my CC details, which meant they were in the system. I had to supply credit card details over the phone to an accountant so I could "secure my booking" after I had already received emails confirming it was secured, so I would not be charged the admin fee twice if I entered my credit card details in the system. Place only supplied on a towel per guest for 4 nights. There are no towel racks to dry towels in the bathroom, had wet towels for four days. No exhaust in the bathroom ( looked like a living room was converted into a bathroom and laundry with a fireplace being used for storage and a laundry sink as a basin). Ceilings & walls were paper thin, could hear tenants upstairs doing about day to day business. A place much smaller than in the pictures. No basics, such as a chopping board spoons, seemed to be missing, no basic condiments etc. Small fridge and one key for up to 6 guests. I was especially disappointed to receive a checkout email that required me to place my dishes in the dishwasher and start it before leaving, and send a picture of the key being put back in the key box.

Superb - Fully equipped apartment in great location! Positive: The check-in procedure was really easy and the host was always responsive and friendly on booking.com and via WhatsApp. We stayed here for a work conference trip and the property was perfect for our needs (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer). The location is great with walking distance to everything in West End and Southbank. The beds were comfy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place - thank you! Negative: Our only concern was that the noise from upstairs could be a bit disruptive in the evenings, so it's not ideal if you're a light sleeper.
