Riverview casa/ walk to Mater & children hospital

Nightmare stay Positive: The only good thing about this property is the location Negative: We booked accommodation at this property as my son was booked to have surgery at the children’s hospital but his surgery was canceled 5 days out so our stay at this property kicked off to a bad start when I requested a refund 5 days before check in due to surgery cancellation and refused with no compassion shown at all. So if booking at this property to attend the hospital I would suggest against that. The noise from the sirens and traffic made it absolutely impossible to sleep. The coffee mugs were dirty with coffee stains in every single one. There was a thick layer of dust under the bed in one of the rooms that you could see in the mirror whilst sitting on the bed. The lounge smelt like wet dog. The car park is so small not big enough for a big car and check in at 3pm in peak hour made it a nightmare to get onto the car park. We had two nights without hot water. I contacted the owner via text and did not receive a reply for two hours later at 10pm and they asked me to go check the hot water system which they had no idea where is was “either the garage or on the side of the house”. I also did not receive check in details until 30mins before check in after talking to someone from bookings and then contacting the owner. Would never stay here again and would not recommend anyone to stay here especially accommodation for the children’s hospital.

Great tidy apartment convenient to the hospitals and Southbank Positive: Clean, well maintained and in perfect spot for access to the hospitals and Southbank Negative: Being an old property it goes without saying the windows aren’t air tight which normally isn’t a problem in Brisbane except when the weather is poor.

It felt like you could have been anywhere in the world, Positive: The location was perfect, very close to everything. The accommodation was very well equipped with everything that you needed. Beautiful views from the balcony. Negative: A little bit noisy with the traffic nearby and being so close to the hospital with the sirens. A few items need to be fixed or replaced.
